Just a thought... 2gb? Hmmm

Just realised that by using a Gmail account (that we could all access), these CDs could be loaded into there for sharing purposes. The limit for attaching a single file is 10mb so each track would have to be an email. Also, i'm not sure if they allow .MP3 extensions to be used or not so testing would need to be done. Any thoughts?

  • Could be... I've got several accounts already so if we fill one mailbox we could open another.

I suspect "they" might pick up on this though, if someone opens a new account and hits their limit within a day....

  • Someone outside the group did manage to download the torrent ok but when Tim and Jon tried it they never got it to connect.

There are all sorts of add ons for GMail these days that allow you to use it as a mapped drive in explorer or even install Linux to it!!!!

Then again, i have 50 invites left so i'm sure we could spread the load if they start getting shirty.

  • Once the memory starts to go, it's better to have something physical in your hand to remind yourself what it is you walked in to the room for.

  • From The Wiki:

Podcasting is a way of publishing sound files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new audio files automatically. Podcasting is distinct from other types of audio content delivery because it uses the RSS protocol. This technique has enabled many producers to create self-published, syndicated radio shows.
