Threesday 4: In Da Mix

As I am off on my well earned holiday with the family next week the Threesday comes a week early to you lucky punters. It was a bit of a "oh crap! - what do I put on this week" as I have not pre-planned a theme as per the other Threesdays, but... What do you mean you did'nt notice the themes? Tsk... All my hard work just goes to waste... Track 1 Artist: The Herbaliser Title: Nahmean Nahm Sayin Download Here This shuffled onto my iPod whilst I was trotting round Tesco the other night feeling lonely and looking like I was there on the pull and really cheered me up. I had'nt realised how good it was until all the minger checkout ladies started bangin' their butts on their barcode scanners to the dirty rhythms leaking from my earphones. Sweary hip-hip funk type stuff at its best. Track 2 Artist: Skindred Title: Pressure Download Here Me ol matey Bigfootcookie was talking about Skindred the other day on his blog so I thought I had better include a track for the uninitiated. Loud, harsh, lyrical and harmonious dread skank rock rap. Not one of my favorite tracks but good all the same. Track 3 Artist: Turin Breaks Title: Thrown Stone Download Here Turin Breaks are again back on my "most played" list after listening to my Nephew belt out a version of this track on his acoustic guitar the other night. My net connection is down at home at the moment otherwise i would have had the tablature for this one down already! Damn you AOL and your crappy tech support! Its the type of music I aspire to...slow, acoustic and melodic. Just pure class (so sez me anyway). If I ever get to see them live I will snap their little fingers off for being too good.
